1. How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly from the Scubaful app:
- Open the Scubaful app
- Go to your Profile tab
- Tap the Settings button
- Scroll down and tap Delete account
- Confirm the deletion when prompted
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Please make sure you want to proceed before confirming.
If you are unable to access the app and need your account deleted, please contact us at support@scubaful.com with the email address associated with your account.
2. What data is deleted when I delete my account?
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:
- Your profile information (name, bio, location, profile photo)
- Your dive experiences and trips you organized
- Your photos and videos (deleted within 30 days)
- Your certifications and dive log entries
- Your friend connections
What is preserved
To maintain conversation history for other users, past messages you sent are preserved but will display “Deleted User” as the sender. No personally identifiable information is retained.

3. Can I request deletion of specific data?
Yes. If you want to delete specific data without deleting your entire account, you can:
- Photos and videos: Delete individual media from your profile and experiences in the app
- Certifications and dive insurance: Remove certifications and insurance cards from your profile in the app
- Profile information: Edit or delete profile information in the app
- Experience information: Edit or delete experience information in the app
For data that cannot be removed directly in the app, or to request a full export of your data, contact us at privacy@scubaful.com. We will respond to your request within 30 days.
